The Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, has congratulated the Eweye of Isiu, His Royal Majesty, Oba David Raji, and the entire people of Isiu, on the occasion of the 2025 Isiu Day Celebration.
The grand finale of the annual celebration which started a few days back, is holding today.
In a statement by Alhaji Taiwo who is equally a Prince of Isiu kingdom, he said that the celebration signifies how the traditions of the people of Isiu had survived, and also the unity and progress that have been achieved.
“On the auspicious occasion of the 2025 Isiu Eweye Day Celebration and as a proud Prince of the kingdom, I extend my warmest congratulations and heartfelt goodwill to His Royal Majesty, Oba OluKayode David Raji JP, the Eweye of Isiu, the Isiu Eweye Development Association and to the esteemed sons and daughters of the Isiu Kingdom.
“This celebration marks not only the enduring traditions of Isiu, but also the unity, resilience, and progress of its people under the wise and visionary leadership of His Royal Majesty.
“May this year’s Eweye Day serve as a beacon of hope, peace, prosperity, and pride for generations to come”.
The educationist prayed for progress for Isiu community and wish its monarch a long and prosperous reign.
“As you gather in joy, may the spirit of community and the blessings of tradition continue to flourish across the Kingdom.
“I join you in celebrating the legacy of Isiu and the promise of its future.
“Long live His Royal Majesty! Long live the Isiu Kingdom! Happy Eweye Day Celebration!”.
